Welcome to GFWC New Tampa Junior Woman's Club (NTJWC).
Established in 1997, NTJWC is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization of women dedicated to community service, individual growth and the development of friendships.
NTJWC is a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs- the world's largest and oldest volunteer service club for women. Founded in 1890, GFWC has more than one million members worldwide. NTJWC is also a member of the Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs.
Our 2008-2009 Club Theme is "What Matters Most." Our membership is dedicated to making a tremendous impact on the New Tampa Community and surrounding areas and to make many, many smile.
In our short history, NTJWC has favorably impacted New Tampa and surrounding areas through our numerous projects and memorable fundraisers. In our 10 year history, our members have given more than 130,000 volunteer hours to the community and raised more than $450,000 for charitable causes. Highlights include:
- Our 3rd Annual Fire Safety Day held in the Fall was a huge success! Over 600 were educated on Fire and Home safety. Club members also donated 25 handmade blue bears, which will help firefighters and rescue workers donate teddy bears which comfort children who have recently experienced trama.
- Co-Sponsoring with the New Tampa YMCA, a Halloween Carnival for the children of EveryDay Blessings
- Many of our projects are devoted to trying to improve the lives and education of children right here in Tampa. Some of these projects include: establishing a volunteer reading program at Mort Elementary, adopting 62 children this Holiday season by donating gifts, and also partnering with Outreach Assisting Students in Schools (OASIS).
